Project: Combined Cycle Gas-Steam 4800 MW Power Plant (CCPP), Burullus, Egypt
Year: 2017
Scope of work: Installation of Module 1 - 1200 MW
2 Gas Turbines x 400 MW & 1 Steam Turbine x 400 MW + auxiliary installations.
The Siemens megaproject in Egypt will be the largest group of combined cycle power plants built and operated in the world after its completion in 2018. This project includes 3 power plants located at Beni Suef, Burullus and New Capital.
The Burullus combined cycle power plant consists of 4 combined cycle blocks, each of 1200 MW, in a 2 to 1 configuration: two H-class gas turbines, each with its own generator and a heat recovery boiler that provide the steam sent to a steam turbine with its own generator.
